Founded by Ron & Catherine Tijerina in 2000, The RIDGE Project is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering generational responsibility in individuals and improving the lives of families throughout the state of Ohio. Our organization believes that strong families produce strong children, who will pass on that legacy of strength to future generations.

Our board is dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission of strengthening families and breaking generational cycles of incarceration, poverty, and dependency. For 25 years, we have made it our mission help justice-involved men, women and their families in Ohio.

Rev. Collins E. Asonye
Rev. Collins E. Asonye
Rev. Collins E. Asonye is the Rector of Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in Alexandria, VA. With over 20 years of ministry experience in the U.S. and Nigeria, he is known for his leadership in outreach, pastoral care, and community engagement. He holds master’s degrees in Theology and Information Systems, and has expanded Meade’s local mission efforts, including weekly meal programs for those in need.

Ron Deitering serves as Vice President at Deitering’s Landscaping Inc., a leading erosion control and landscaping firm operating in Ohio and the surrounding region. With deep roots in the business he founded in 1987, he helps oversee client services, project operations, and strategic growth efforts across multiple states

Ron Tijerina is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The RIDGE Project, an Ohio-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families and breaking cycles of incarceration and poverty. After his own incarceration, Ron and his wife Catherine launched the organization to empower individuals—particularly fathers—to become leaders in their families and communities. Through nationally recognized initiatives like TYRO, Ron has impacted thousands with his message of responsibility, redemption, and resilience.

Catherine Tijerina is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of The RIDGE Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering families and breaking generational cycles of poverty and incarceration. Drawing from personal experience and over two decades of leadership, Catherine helped develop TYRO, a nationally recognized fatherhood and reentry program. She is a passionate advocate for family restoration, policy reform, and generational healing, working closely with communities, correctional institutions, and national partners.
Will Hild
Will Hild
Will Hild is Executive Director of Consumers’ Research, where he leads the Consumers First campaign targeting ESG investing and corporate activism. Previously, he held leadership roles at the Regulatory Transparency Project, the Philanthropy Roundtable, and co-founded the law firm Cause of Action. Hild holds a J.D. from Georgetown, a B.A. from the University of Florida, and is licensed in Virginia. He’s a frequent media voice on consumer advocacy and corporate accountability.
